What enables people to function well at work? And what is preventing them from achieving this? Through study, work and collaboration, Maria Paviour has sought to define and answer these fundamental questions and deliver a scientific path for human flourishing at work.
Combining psychology, neuroscience, and operational experience with over 30 years of multidisciplinary work and study across sectors, one thing has crystallised when it comes to organisational health and effectiveness:
"What’s right is also what works".
Research has underpinned every great advance of Maria's practice. From The Vampire Default's (2024) early research in understanding reactive, unconscious behaviours and how they shape workplace dynamics, to Neuchem®, a structured neuroscience-informed approach to individual change and development, refined over the many years of direct application with leaders and teams.
More recently, this thinking has been extended into a broader articulation of organisational culture through The Cultural Imperative (forthcoming), which sets out how leadership priorities, measurement systems, and decision-making processes combine to shape not only culture, but performance outcomes.
Alongside these frameworks lies the central flagship of organisational and people analytics: Cari®, giving greater dimension and understanding to how people are experiencing their work in the moment, and it relates to both wellbeing and performance.
We work closely with clients to design tools and products that address specific challenges in wellbeing, engagement and performance. Our work with clients goes beyond surveys and surface measures. Through collaborative research and in-depth data analysis, we explore what really drives wellbeing, engagement and performance.
From long-term studies like our two-year project with Shoosmiths LLP, to focused client research led by Stuart, these projects uncover practical insights that help organisations create measurable, lasting change. The result: you can see what truly works, before investing time, money and resources.
