Challenge
Westminster City Council leaders already faced high-pressure environments. Partway through delivering our established NeuChem® leadership and resilience programme, the Westminster terror attack happened, placing staff in an unexpected, acute crisis while in training.
Inclusions
Bitesize leadership and resilience workshops based on neuroscience. Live adaptation of techniques to real events as they unfolded. Coaching to shift staff from immediate threat response to empowered, calm action. Tools for leaders to embed resilience practices within teams.
Results
The programme was being delivered during the crisis, and our facilitator immediately stepped in and applied NeuChem® methods to help delegates manage shock and fear in the moment. Staff left the session with practical, proven tools to handle ongoing uncertainty, feeling more in control and confident to support colleagues through challenging situations, and day to day.
